Please note that the report and this message is prepared for and should only be viewed by our members. It should not, under any circumstance, go outside of AvTvISO.
Please note that we will not make any other transactions before 2nd April 2021 for this year’s accounts. If we need to make any other transactions, they will reflect in the 2021-22 finance report.
For this year, we didn’t maintain our financial records in a more professional template unfortunately as we had not expected to transact this much of money for AvTvISO. Next year (2021/22) onwards, we will maintain the records in more professional template. Having said this, I want to ensure that you know that this year, as in the past, we have maintained very detailed accounts of each & every transaction, just not used a formal template to do so. Hence, it’s a basic excel sheet that we have used that may lack many visual functionalities.
I have already shared the detailed financial transactions records & provisional report with Maheswaran, Kiran, Sadiqur, Shiven and Hannes (5 members) for their review as they are our executive body. They have reviewed & now I have their approval. I will share the report in our WhatsApp group for all the members to view.
AvTvISO’s finance has been mainly managed by Mrs Purnima, Sadiqur & me. I will take the responsibility for any error & I will correct and compensate for it.
This year we spent lots of money. Infact, we spent it all in our promotion & building our reputation considering 2021/22 prospects. I can say that we are succeeding in our plans to a great extent. Many international photographers & organizers are now considering us as one of the leading photography organizations of India. Infact, many organizations in India have also started “copying” many of our distinctive features.
For example, we are the 1st in India & probably 3rd in the world who started Virtual meetings on photography on Zoom when the lockdown started.
Not only that, we are the first photographic organization in the world who started collecting donations for noble causes during COVID.
Many clubs have started making their own specifically crafted medals after seeing our unique medals.
Our entry fees (350/- for National & 555/- for National Circuit, No Discount Policy) has now become a standard.
Our catalogue, communication & service is the best & photographers across the world are acknowledging it.
We have used the tagline “Excellence in Photography” for the past 2 years and have even used in it in our medals manufactured in 2018. Infact we called our AvTvISO medal EiP medal. EiP stands for Excellence in Photography.
We also own two exclusive domains (www.excellenceinphotography.com & www.excellencein.photography) with the hashtag (#excellenceinphotography) and both are redirected to our website or its initiatives. These domains are in high demand and we have been approached by a few buyers already for them. We do not have any intentions of selling these domains unless the money is very high. For example, we will think of selling www.excellenceinphotography.com if the minimum bid for it is $8000.
You will find that some clubs (especially from Kolkata) are trying to use the word “excellence” in their awards and certificates and have told us quite openly that they are influenced to use this word because of AvTvISO.
We also were the first club to design Camera shaped medals for IIG. Now we see many other clubs across the world are designing camera shaped medals for their initiatives as well.
We are the best… we are influential… and we will be better each year!
We will become one of the best in the world soon too!
IIG is the talk of the town today as one of the best open salon practicing group known for its transparency.
Initially I wanted to have more members in our group. But Shiven was against it. So we will follow Shiven’s advice & be a small group. Perhaps its better to call us a small close-knit family. Our membership will be exclusively invitation based & we will accept new members only if all members agree to adding the proposed name. Also, we will continue following Shiven’s policy in AvTvISO group meetings, “We believe in giving each other hard feedback and we actively avoid people-pleasing feedback to develop our photography skills.”
One more thing to note is about Uttar Purv. Last year, Sadiqur & I started Uttar Purv, another photographic organization as an initiative of AvTvISO to better engage North East India. We had noticed that barring a particular club, there are few other clubs to engage photographers in this region. We have partnered with two photographers from North East, Saurabh Baruah & Mayurjyoti Das for Uttar Purv.
It was decided a few days ago in a meeting with Saurabh and Mayurjyoti that Uttar Purv will be an independent photography club & not be a part of AvTvISO. It will be led by Saurabh & Mayur with the help of Sadiqur. AvTvISO & I will help them whenever they need any help from us just as we continue helping other clubs. I will be fully committed only towards AvTvISO and we will slowly expand AvTvISO in the north east regions as a premier photography club. We will share our AvTvISO platform with deserving photographers from North East, especially in Sikkim and Nagaland.
We have big dreams with AvTvISO. We want to have our own FIAP Exhibition Centre. We spent a lot of money with this aim to run our future RGB salons successfully & to convert IIG into an International Salon Photography Organization.
The last update in this message is that we will continue RGB with PSA patronage without FIAP approval atleast in 2021. We will reconsider taking FIAP patronage in 2022 or later.
We will also not take FIP approval for CMYK. So we may discontinue CMYK from 2022 or we may run it on an experimental basis with IIG patronage in 2022. We will take a decision later this year depending on how we are running IIG. So in effect, we will have only 1 salon, i.e., RGB. We also may run 1 IIG PSA approved circuit if we find two suitable partner clubs.
Please feel free to ask any question you have at any time. I will be happy to answer them.
Udayan Sankar Pal

AvTvISO in conversation with Mr Riccardo Busi
|
|
|
When stalwarts from the world of photography gather for an evening of conversation, the world waits with bated breath to hear from them. This was an evening when Mr Riccardo Busi, the President of Federation Internationale de l’Art Photographique (FIAP) was in conversation with members of AvTvISO, an ILFIAP club from India on the 25th of July 2020, from 8:30PM. The 60 minute virtual get-together was attended by photographers from not only India, but from across the globe. AvTvISO is grateful to FIAP for granting “Auspicious De La FIAP” to this event.
The event was also graced by Dr BK Sinha, Hony. Secretary General of Federation of Indian Photography and FIAP Liaison Officer for India and Rhea Bilir, President of Sille Sanat Sarayi.
During the event, Mr Busi shared his journey as a photographer and how his fate led him to be associated closely with FIAP over 20 years ago. He shared his vision and some exciting plans for FIAP in 2020 and beyond. As an international organization of national associations of photography, he also spoke about how national organizations can partner and build strength in photography locally through ILFIAP patronage and other similar programs. He welcomed the inclusion of AVTVISO as the newest ILFIAP club from India and encouraged members to continue clicking more photographs, develop a love of light and leverage some of the benefits and platforms that FIAP provides to ILFIAP club members. It was indeed an honor for all the attendees to get an opportunity to interact with him, look at some of his photographs, hear him share his experiences and his take on leading the future of Photography in the world.
The interactive session was well appreciated by participants as was testimony from the comments they left on the chat forum at the end of the session. The evening ended with an open hearted message to AVTVSIO members and other photographer participants from both Mr Riccardo Busi as well as Dr B K Sinha and Mr Rhea Bilir to partner closely and nurture the love of photography together going forward.

Hi!
We are all living through a really unique time because of this deadly virus, COVID-19. We do not know what is waiting for us in the near future. During this vulnerable time, we need to think about how we can contribute to heal the world.
Governments around the world and good samaritans are working day & night to support all of us. They need as much support as they can get. Support not only in terms of following their instructions and maintaining social distance, but also financial support.
We at AvTvISO have thought of a way to contribute within our capacity to the Prime Minister’s CARES Fund and WHO’s COVID-19 Solidarity Fund. We wish to invite you to contribute any amount of your choice to us so we can aggregate it and donate the entire money you pay to the Prime Minister’s Fund and WHO.
We will add your Name & the amount in this page as a contributor by the end of each week. We will also publish the receipt of the donation we will make with your money in this page to keep it 100% transparent. Please note that the entire money we will receive via this initiative will be contributed to the PM & WHO Fund and the receipt will be published in this page by 30th April 2020.
If your contribution is for INR 2000 / USD30 (our usual membership fees) or more, in gratitude for your contribution, we will offer you a 2-year AvTvISO membership. We will send you your ID card once the lock down in India is withdrawn. Your name will be added to the member’s section of our website. We will also add you to our official whatsapp group on photography. However, FIP Club Membership rules are applicable for the AvTvISO Membership. Contact us at email@threedots.in if you have any question.
In addition, for those who pay INR2000 or USD30 or more, we will also confer the Xp.AvTvISO Distinction which will allow you to participate for free in all the AvTvISO Salons for two years as per the distinction terms [Details: bit.ly/avtviso]. We will send you a certificate & a lapel badge as well.
We will also work to tie up with some salons/contests/exhibitions where you can participate for free as an AvTvISO member. That means AvTvISO will pay the entry fee on your behalf whenever we can tie up with any salon.
Not only that… you can also actively participate in our AvTvISO projects as well. We equally distribute 60% of the profit we make on any project among our members if they take part in it. For example, we had organized a photo-tour to Kulasai Dasara in 2019 and the profit we made out of this project was distributed among our members who were a part of the organizing team of this tour. Members received upto 22,000/- for their contribution to this tour. We also ran an International Salon, RGB-2019. The profit we made out of this salon has been distributed among the members who were the part of the organizing team as well.
If you are not a photographer or are not interested in photography but still wish to contribute to the cause, you can donate too. We will send you a certificate of appreciation. We hope it will remind you in future that we won a battle together. We are sure that we will overcome all the odds against Corona Virus together.
We believe no question is a stupid one. Please contact us at email@threedots.in or call us at +91-88-01166930 if you have any queries. Also request you to send us a mail with your details once you make a donation.
Stay home. Stay safe. |
